Step 1: Install

  1. On the PC and user account you wish to monitor, download and install the .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.32.

  2. Double-click on the PCMetrix Plus MSI installer file.

  3. Accept the EULA and complete the installation wizard.

  1. After installation, the PCMetrix Plus ViewAgent will appear.

  2. Copy the executable for the PCMetrix Plus ViewAgent and the PCMDO folder to a removable media device. You’ll use this software for client monitoring and the device to automatically copy files from the client.

  3. If both have been successfully copied to the removable media device, delete the installer, executable, and folder from the desktop.

  4. To collect new data from the client, insert the same removable media device to automatically copy the most recent information. Wait at least 3 to 5 minutes before disconnecting the device. Data can still be copied to the device even when the lock screen is enabled.

  1. Insert the removable media device with the copied client data into any PC without PCMetrix Plus installed.

  2. In the Server Connection box, click on Connect, locate the PCMDO folder, and select it.
